In June, I met this wonderful couple outside the Portland Library just before closing time. While we weren’t able to shoot inside, the building’s beautiful architecture gave us everything we needed: timeless stone, soft shadows, and clean lines. We wrapped up the session chasing the last rays of sun as they filtered through downtown Portland, creating warm, romantic light that felt both intimate and cinematic.
Their wedding was just a few months later in September, so this session was the perfect way to slow down, connect, and capture a quieter moment together before the big day.

In this case, the bride-to-be had her hair done earlier that day, and her stylist cleverly reworked it into a softer version for the evening—perfect for photos without revealing the full wedding-day look to her partner. It was the best of both worlds: glam with a touch of mystery.
