After capturing their sweet engagement photos in downtown Portland during golden hour, I knew their wedding would be just as heartfelt. Their journey continued this month with a new chapter—welcoming their first baby! We’ve already planned a cozy lifestyle newborn session to complete this beautiful family story.
A Warm Autumn Day at Green Villa Barn
Their wedding took place on a gorgeous fall day—sunny, golden, and full of joy. With a 16-person wedding party and three adorable flower girls, the energy was joyful and full of celebration from start to finish.
The bridesmaids wore rich chocolate brown satin dresses, while the groomsmen sported tan vests, white shirts, and chocolate brown ties.
Scotty looked dashing in his white suit with a black bow tie. When he saw Daeshawna during their emotional first look, there wasn’t a dry eye—including mine!
Cultural Traditions and Emotional Moments
One of the most meaningful moments was the receiving line after the ceremony—a touching way to connect with each guest. And during the reception, the youngest guests stole the show with a hula performance, followed by traditional Polynesian dances honoring Scotty’s Marshallese roots. It was a powerful reminder of how love brings families and cultures together.
