A Perfect Fall Day in Oregon

Alexandra and Paul’s fall wedding at Abernethy Center was the kind of day every Oregon couple dreams of—crisp air, golden light, and not a drop of rain in sight. Held on November 3, 2025, their celebration was full of intention and joy, beginning with a romantic chapel ceremony and ending with a cozy, elegant ballroom reception. From film and digital portraits in the gardens to toasted marshmallows by night, every moment was beautifully, authentically them.

A Wedding Industry Love Story

Lexi is no stranger to weddings — she’s a member of the Willamette Valley Wedding Professionals (like me!), and it showed in how effortlessly she brought together a dream team of vendors. From her classic Essense of Australia @essenseofaustralia gown (from The Bridal Gallery @bridalgallerysalem) to the deep red and dusty mauve florals by Distinctive Designs by Denise @distinctivedesignsbydenice, every element felt cohesive and elevated — without ever losing the heart behind it all.

Black, White, and Dusty Mauve Elegance

Their wedding color palette was stunning and bold: black velvet dresses for the bridesmaids, black and white suits for the groomsmen paired with dusty mauve ties, and the flower girls wore all black. Even the ring bearer matched the formal vibe in black and white. The florals added softness to the look — with deep reds and muted mauves that tied everything together beautifully.

First Look and Fall Light

Before the ceremony, Alexandra and Paul shared a sweet first look near the gazebo — a moment full of emotion and gorgeous golden fall light. It was one of those peaceful moments in the day that grounded everything in love and presence before the excitement picked up.

Film & Digital Magic for this Fall Wedding at Abernethy Center

This fall wedding at Abernethy Center was also a perfect match for combining both digital and film photography. The warm light, rich colors, and timeless details looked incredible on film — giving the images a nostalgic, almost cinematic quality. Paired with crisp digital coverage, the result was a gallery full of depth, artistry, and emotion that truly told the story of Alexandra and Paul’s day.

Reception Highlights: Sweet Treats & Sentimental Touches

The celebration continued in Abernethy’s elegant ballroom, where guests enjoyed desserts from Fat CupCake @fatcupcakeor, fresh donuts from Krispy Kreme, and one unforgettable feature — a s’mores maker from Marsh and Mallow Co. @marshandmallowco. The couple also included a unique way for guests to leave messages: a vintage phone guest book by After The Tone @afterthetone.co. It was all cozy, sweet, and full of personality.

Vendor Dream Team

Words from the Bride

“It was super smooth sailing — Paul had a lot more opinions than I expected, but it made it so much fun to plan together. Honestly, it was pretty stress-free, and I credit that to being in the industry! Our goal from the start was to make this day unapologetically us, and we haven’t looked back.”

Lexi’s advice for other couples: Don’t procrastinate — and remember, it’s YOUR day.
